What's not to love !
When Jill and I were contacted by Tristan and Alicia of award winning Fireworks and Smoke who were looking for a photographer around the Margaret River region the brief they presented sounded intriguing and fun.
"Give us images that reflect the essence of a product which, when combined with bbq meats produces an amazing aroma and taste." (Which is to do die for - I said that, not Tristan or Alicia - but it's true....) Jill then set about doing what she does best and constructing a shot list of images not just of the product but imagery for backgrounds and social media posts along with Alicia while I started dreaming about stormy skies and smoky settings.
Alicia and Tristan came well prepared with props product and models. We sourced a friends farm on the way to Bunker Bay as well as some native Aussie bushland closer to Dunsborough and set about building fires, cooking meat and dodging the rain.....(Thanks to Phil our firewarden in overseeing from the back of his ute !) Awesome images resulted and off home we went.
Hi Russell and Jill - I just got a chance now to sit back and review the photos - they are amazing!!! I really, really like them you have nailed the brief perfectly. I particularly love the shots at the campfire with the stormy skies, those shots were even better than what I had imagined in my head! Big thankyou to the both of you for all your hard work that went into that shoot, I hope it was enjoyable and you can be very pleased that you have two very happy clients:) We will now begin the daunting task of choosing which ones to add to the website and how!
