Busselton Jetty Swim
They say Busselton is the events capital of Western Australia and right at the top of this events list would have to be the iconic annual Busselton Jetty Swim.
With 3000+ competitors along with about 10,000 spectators, the day is a whole year in the making. Run by a not for profit committee who started the event with a bunch of friends 25 years ago and supported by an event coordinator who run the logistics and promotion of the event.
The brief for me as photographer was to capture many different facets of the day. The swim of course showing the enormity of the whole day but just as important is to capture the many different stakeholders involved - sponsors, volunteers, not for profit support organisations and media.
Images are used extensively over their social media channels and other online website or printed promotional material.
